Celebrate Independence Day in Polson!

The Fourth of July is just a couple of short weeks away, so now is the time to make a plan for the holiday! Polson is inviting everyone to come celebrate the nation's birthday with some great events happening all day. All of the classics will be represented, including a parade, fireworks, music, and much more!

Those who love to run might be interested in starting the day with the 2019 July 4th Firecracker Fun Run at 11:45 a.m. This 1-mile race begins at the St. Joseph Medical Center and goes down the parade route before ending on 3rd Ave. The entry fee is just 1 canned good or dry good per person. To register, head over to the medical center starting at 11 a.m.

Many of us can't imagine a 4th of July without a parade, so join the community at noon for the 2019 Main Street Polson 4th of July Parade! The parade will be starting at Cherry Valley Elementary School before heading south on 2nd Street West and around behind Cherry Valley on 9th Avenue. This year's theme is “1909 to 2019 – Celebrating 110 years of Growth”.

If you'd like to be a part of the parade, then click here to read more and sign up. The entry fee is $20 and is used to support the fireworks show.

After the parade concludes, Riverside Recreation (412 2nd St W) will be hosting a party that will take you all the way to the fireworks display! Enjoy the Tiki Bar starting at noon, the DJ starting at 2 p.m., and the Pump Alley Band playing at 6 p.m. There will also be food trucks available on-site! Also, consider donating when you enter to help benefit the Flathead Lakers and Polson Firework Fund.
