Happy August from Flathead Lake!

While I like to focus on keeping our clients informed on real estate, and we will get to that, we cannot skip the tragic Boulder 2700 Fire along the east shore.

Tuesday, August 2nd I attended the Boulder Fire Community Meeting to learn more. I left the meeting being confident with increased admiration for the firefighters and the management teams. The best place for up-to-date information about the fire and fire evacuations will be the Boulder Fire InciWeb Page: http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/7754. You can also sign up for Lake County Emergency alerts at https://signup.hyper.reach.com/hyper_reach/sign_up_page_2/?id=95122.

Did you know that Firefighters are fed 5,000 calories a day while fighting the line!
Firefighters, management teams, volunteers, etc., please know that your hard work and dedication to the safety of our community is appreciated. Thank you, Polson, for continuing to come together as one with your kindness and generosity.

The picture above is of Ric and Sarah’s son, Russell, and Chester Riccaradi, two volunteer firefighters for the Finley Point/Yellow Bay Fire Department. If you have ever considered making a financial donation, now would be a good time to support our hardworking and dedicated Volunteer Fire Departments. We are so lucky to have them. All of them have put in long hours with their community’s safety as their priority. Please mail donations to 35408 Highway 35, Polson, Montana 59860 for the Finley Point/Yellow Bay Fire Department.

Okay, to real estate. While there seemed to be a bit of a slowdown for a week or so in mid July, the gas pedal was pushed to the floor again and real estate sales remain strong in Lake County and Sanders County. Century 21 Big Sky put 22 properties under contract for the month of July and continue to help our clients successfully navigate through the purchasing or selling process.

Consider selling now! Take advantage of strong property values as a seller while buyers are financing with historically low interest rates. Call or email Century 21 Big Sky today to get connected with a skilled agent to assist in the buying or selling process in Lake County or Sanders County!
