RealtyTrac analyzed housing and economic data from some of the nation’s top ski resorts to come up with a list of the top ski resort towns for real estate investing. They considered factors such as unemployment rate, distance from the nearest airport, foreclosure inventory for finding bargains, rental vacancy rate, gross rent yield, and median list price.
Whitefish Montana was #1 on the list with a median list price of approximately $250,000 and a gross rental yield of over 5%!
As some skiers hit the slopes, investors are flocking to the real estate market in these ski resorts, hoping to cash in.
Boy, it sure is cold in the Great Lakes Region! The Polar Vortex is an interesting, and certainly uncomfortable, phenomenon.
Lucky for us, we're not affected by this weather pattern. Here in Polson it's cloudy, but relatively warm in the mid 30's . . . and we're expecting high 30's and low 40's for the rest of the week.
You might think it's cold here because we're in northern Montana, but our weather is quite mild and very similar to Pennsylvania's weather as a rule.
We're still out and about and selling houses!
We are all so very thankful for all the wonderful blessings we have.
We live in a beautiful place surrounded by the majestic works of nature, we work with the best of the best, and have the most wonderful friends and clients who love Montana as much as we do.
At this special time of year when we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, we want to extend our gratitude to everyone who has touched our lives throughout the year.
May you have a safe and festive holiday!
